Yogscast DLC Revealed for Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed

charityDLCTransformed

S0L has been teasing a new controversial character to be added to the roster of the PC version of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. Nothing has been set in stone as of yet, but according to a recent stream from the Yogscast, one of UK’s top Youtube channels. Recently Yogscast revealed that they’re pushing for a new Humble Bundle that is currently not active, but reportedly has the racer as part of the deal, in addition to their livestream that they revealed not only the bundle, but that there is charity DLC on the way for the PC version. They didn’t reveal what exactly it is, but given S0L’s comments, and what they mentioned and showed on the stream, which isn’t much, is that you get to play as Yogscast’s own Simon.

Now before you throw your rocks, keep in mind it is entirely for charity and not a deal of a Lets Play “celebrity” taking away a spot of a potential SEGA character. S0L also mentioned that there is more stuff on the way that would be bigger. But for now, this is whats set for December 6th, and they’re also giving away free copies of the game and putting the game as part of the Humble Bundle.

Do it for the children.

I’ll keep my panties from getting in a knot since it mentions more characters later, but I was expecting the next reveal to boost the number of people playing. It’ll get a rise in new players with the bundle but not the character; What the game needs is content to sustain the experienced players and keep online active.

Helping beginners realize they can’t jump right in isn’t fun.

Tracks and niche characters that nobody outside of SEGA fandom would expect, basically.

Well, this was kinda self-reversing prophecy. Normally that would be insanely controversial, but given the warning, the charity and ASRT already having loads of non-Sega characters it… shouldn’t be.

That said we’re talking about Sonic fanbase, so who knows.

The more characters that get added, the more I think there should be an add-on list similar to what L4D does. If this guy isn’t optional to own I’d love to be able to exclude any character I want from showing up in local races.

Much more deserving people than this to promote too. At least with Danica funding was a reasonable issue and we don’t have her actual personality to attach to the character, unlike certain self-righteous fools that coast by on the pretense of charity.

I’d prefer the Game Grumps! Arin in the car, Danny in the air, and Ross on the sea! 😀

How about Jon in the air flying on a giant Jacques?

The same guy who tried to make a ripoff of Minecraft? How fun. All that money is going straight into his pockets and not where it’s should go

It’ll be going to charity. He (should, anyway) be getting none of it.

    Uhhhhh…… What?

If this is an actual thing, I can’t wait to see what comes next. (please god now pewdeipie dlc)

I would probably firebomb Sumo’s office if that happened. This was a pretty terrible character choice to foist on us under the guise of charity, but at least they stopped short of the actual worst “entertainer” to have ever existed.

I don’t care if my purchase would end world hunger, if Pewdiepie is revealed as a character I would never buy this.

100% of all monies raised for this DLC is going to the Charity Special Effect. SEGA and Yogscast are not taking a single cent or penny.

I don’t really care if it’s for charity or not… but they should remember that this game has console versions too

I never watch much yogscast, but this seems like a welcome addition.

This game is slowly becoming a joke where the creators keep throwing in some random characters to the point it no longer feels like a Sonic game anymore!

Was never a Sonic game, it is a Sega game. They just put Sonic in the title as a way to sell the game.
