Are you the type of Sonic fan who wants SA3 more than anything? Are you one of the people who believe it will single-handedly save the Sonic franchise? Do you clamor for any sign from above that it will fall straight from the heavens into your console?
If so, your faith in SA3 may be at an all-time high in recent weeks. Takashi Iizuka’s positive reaction to the SA3 chants at Sonic Boom rekindled that fire in your heart. SA3 web domains registered a couple of weeks ago made you all the more hopeful. Even though they weren’t registered by SEGA themselves, you refused to believe that you had come so close yet so far.
In your mind, you will get your SA3 at any cost.
Today, SEGA of Antarctica’s Ben Kalough came forward and addressed the recent events regarding SA3, and even released a trailer that is sure to put to rest anymore rumors.
SA3 hopefuls, be careful what you wish for.

Fucking A! I got incredibly excited heard “SA1, SA2, and SA3 in one complete package.”, and then BOOM. Shut down. I hate Ken and Sega for this, but I gotta give it to ‘em.
10/10, assholes.

=D The bonus track on the Sonic 2×4 Sountrack, Meow Mix Zone, is the ringtone on Ben’s cell.

I can’t believe how excited I was.
I was watching it so so excited; pondering, thinking about what characters was going to be inside the game, what the storyline will be on; what team will be with who, even about the chaos.
T-Then, that Sonic Advance 3 footage shown up. T-that’s depressed me.

Yes, miles3298, it does. Maybe sega of antarctica was the reason it was leaked

We already have a SA3 game… it’s called Sonic Unleashed.
I remember I read an interview where a Sega representative/employee/team member said that “Sonic Unleashed was in essence SA3, but that couldn’t be made with the tecnology they had back in that time”.

Yeah you guys really need to be more specific with the abbreviations you use!
I liked the Advance games due to their sense of speed, although the third title is amazingly easy to get lost in the levels in.
Comment left on 8.5.2012 by KBABZ
Wait a minute. Wasn’t his name “Ken Balough” instead of “Ben Kalough”? WOW. I love these trollings.
Comment left on 8.5.2012 by André Alves
SA3 can blow me, the Adventure series is overrated as fuck. SA1 was a glitchfest and was filled with automation to the point that most of the time the game was controlling Sonic for you, and SA2 a borefest, with slow gameplay (even counting the Sonic/Shadow levels, in which Sonic was slower than in any other 3D Sonic game other than Sonic 2006) and mediocre treasure hunting and shooting stages that made up the majority of the game. Unleashed’s daytime stages and the modern acts in Generations feature vastly superior gameplay, and the only reason why people think the Adventure games are better is that they’re being nostalgia fags.
Comment left on 8.5.2012 by Mike
You're wrong. If anything was automated, it's Sonic Unleashed's press "boost" to win. I know that someone's gonna kill me but still, I liked the night stages, because they actually make the player think. Sonic isn't about speed, he's about how he gains that speed and uses it. Boost is okay at rare occasions, but not all the time. Also if anything, Sonic is (supposed to be) a flawless mix of speed, platforming and exploring. SG is a rather good example of what Sega can do. There's platforming, there's speed (not perfect, but better than SU), and there's room to explore. SG is far from perfect, but I hope Sega will continue to return platforming and exploring back to Sonic.

Funny guy this Ben Kalough … ^^ Sega is trolling, again! ^^ But I’m pretty sure this ugly joke will turn later into the reveal of a real Sonic Adventure 3 ^^ And GBA sonic advance 1 2 & 3 were cool games, would be great to have them re released for people who didn’t played them on GBA^^

As tragic and painful as that was, it was stupid hilarious. Of all of these awesome subtle jokes, my favorite is the pits that everybody keeps falling into. 2nd place goes to Ben’s ringtone. Meow Mix jingle, dying cat Sonic 4-saken instruments; the makings of a maserpiece.

Comment left on 8.5.2012 by lolololol
I will never understand why Sonic fans are so quick to defend the Sonic Adventure games while simultaneously bad-talking Sonic ’06: all three games suffer from pretty much the exact same problems, the only difference is that ’06 magnifies them by about 1000 times. The truth is that they’re all shoddy, poorly-programmed messes.
So, yes, the “joke” that Sonic ’06 IS Sonic Adventure 3 is a lot more true than most of us would like to admit.
Comment left on 8.5.2012 by Andrew Mayes
I've always said that Sonic '06 is Adventure 3, and defend all three /in concept./ An amazing 3D Sonic game is yet to come, but the Adventure series had the right idea. Classic Sonic was speed, platforming, and the choice of free-roaming exploration of a beautiful world rolled into one. The worlds became limited after Heroes, and the paths became more streamline after '06. The latter two elements that make Sonic... well, Sonic, were lost by Unleashed.
If Sega were to make a real Adventure 3, using modern-day capabilities and the Adventure formula, I see it being the best Sonic game ever made, certainly the best 3D one.

Sonic Adventure 3 is Sonic 06 regardless of you believe it or not. And when that abomination came out, it’s no wonder why Sega doesn’t want to make another one.

Seems legit.

@Mike
The gameplay in Adventure and Adventure 2 is great, you move fast enough in them, but you aren’t at breakneck speeds, while their is still some platforming, I felt both Heroes and Shadow the Hedgehog much slower then both Adventure games. The unleashed engine is great but there really isn’t a lot of replay value built into it. Of course Sonic Adventure will have it’s glitches, it’s Sega’s first attempt at releasing a full out 3d main series Sonic game, expecting a game new to the genre to be perfect is ignorant. I don’t feel much automation in SA1, I feel like I can explore and have the ability to move around and find places, the newer games have automation, compare something like Splash Hill to Emerald coast, and look how much control you have. Unleashed feels like your mostly boosting, grinding and homing attacking through most of the stages, with a few wall jumps and some small platforming sections. SA2 did have it’s flaws with the shooting stages gameplay, which was one of two big flaws, but the treasure hunt levels were fine. The speed levels were good, there just wasn’t a lot due to Sega’s idea of having only two stories with 3 types of gameplay in each, which was it’s only other big flaw. I find myself still playing both Sonic Adventure, and Sonic Adventure 2 today, while Unleashed and Colors are on my shelf, I can’t complain about Generations much. Anyway that’s just my opinon.

Sonic Heroes IS SA3
Then comes Shadow the Hedgehog wich is SA4
And in the end there’s Sonic the Hedgehog wich is SA5.
Comment left on 8.8.2012 by MSC
And then Sonic Unleashed is based off of the original concept of SA3, and is thus SA6...
..........something tells me the "real" SA3 is going to need a really long subtitle, like "Sonic Adventure: Gerald's Revenge and Maria's Last Wish," or "Sonic Adventure: Okay Guys, We Promise This Is the Real One!!!"
Reply left on 8.22.2012 by AustinOnSugar
It saddens me how many of you actually believe that there is a sega in antarctica anyway as said before Sonic Advance ports aren’t actually a bad idea.

Comment left on 8.10.2012 by Mr Lange
man, don’t you guys see that they are not gonna create Sonic advance HD collection!
one question: does anyone have gamboy advance?
Answer: No because they don’t exist anymore!!!
ben kalough( brother of ken balough i think) was just kidding.
he´s gonna create sonic adventure 3.
Comment left on 8.16.2012 by Sonic Fan
Fail.
1. No duh they won't. It was a joke.
2. They do exist if you still have one, they just stopped making games on it.
3. Ben Kalough is Sonic Retro's character made to make fun of SEGA's decisions, He also announced Sonic 2 Dimps Edition.
4. SEGA will never make Sonic Adventure 3. They made Sonic Unleashed to bring back Sonic with new fast paced gameplay after they failed again with Sonic '06.
