Sonic to Appear in Wreck-It Ralph

It’s no surprise that Sonic will have a cameo in Disney’s upcoming movie Wreck-It Ralph. With so many classic videogame characters appearing in it Sonic was bound to be included, especially with Eggman making an appearance as well. Now we’ve got a confirmation that he’s not just going to sit or walk by like a lot of the cameos.

At the Comic-Con panel for Wreck-It Ralph the first 10 minutes of the film were shown, and in those 10 minutes a PSA was shown with Sonic explaining that if a game character dies in a game that’s not their own they die for good. Seemingly a reference to the Sonic Sez segments from Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. There’s no confirmation on who will be voicing Sonic in the movie, we already know that Zangief (from the Street Fighter games) isn’t voiced by his normal voice actor in the movie so there’s some doubt on if Roger Craig Smith will be playing the role.

You can expect to see Wreck-It Ralph in theaters from November 2nd, 2012 in the US.

I Expect that they’ll probably get someone BETTER than Roger to play the role. Since Disney usually casts VERY well.

I’d laugh my ass off if Jaleel White did Sonic’s voice, especially if the scene is a AoStH reference.

But I know it won’t happen.

Whether Roger is actually going to voice Sonic in the film or not, it doesn’t really matter to me. I would’ve been happy enough for him to make an appearance even if it was just a silent cameo 🙂

    I can’t wait.

The voice actor for Bison in Street Fighter IV will be reprising his role in this film so there’s a chance Roger will be in it. Although I’d love to see Jaleel White having one more go at the role.

Went to Sanic Boom. It is Roger Craig Smith voicing Sonic. They showed some clips with Sonic and had the director for Wreck-it-Ralph come out and talk to all of us, and then confirmed that Ralph would be in ASR Transformed as well. It was kind of neat.

My friend John went to Sonic Boom, and he’s telling me that he saw the Wreck-It Ralph ten minute preview there.

I asked him several questions, and he’s told me that the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog is in fact Roger Craig Smith.

I don’t know if we can confirm it from just what he said, but he saw the clip and that’s what he’s telling me. I just thought i’d share with you fine folks. 😀
