Two Test Levels Found in ‘Shadow the Hedgehog’

Before you panic from the repressed memories of the game, bear with me here.

Forum member princeofknaves uploaded an old version of the RenderWare Graphics World Viewer, which could be used to view Sonic Heroes level maps as well as possibly allow moving them to other games like Sonic Adventure DX: Director’s Cut.

But that’s not all. DaGuAr, a user at the Spanish-speaking Sonic Reikai forums, found that this viewer can also view Shadow the Hedgehog’s level maps too. This isn’t surprising since the two games run on very similar engines.

Look below to see what he found.

Two unused maps from Shadow, full of really long loops, boxes, half-pipes, and other cool stuff. If these remind you of the Tony Hawk games, you’re not alone–quite a few member in the forum topic think so too.

Big thanks go to everyone who helped in this discovery. For discussion and the technical dirt about the levels, hit up the thread here.

What would guns have to do with the loops and halfpipes?

Better yet, whip up a Code Breaker code, since that is what I have. I haven’t play Shadow the Hedgehod nor used Code Breaker for a LONG time (about 4-5 years)!

Also awesome how he also exported it for blitzsonic, going around that track circling the map is kinda fun :3

meh, the game was fine as it is, i really liked the game for what it was, and those “test” levels don’t look that interesting compared to the overall game!

That honestly looks like a fun level, to bad that game isn’t fun or good at all.

what amazes me is that they used a test level like this and then gave us shit, throw in guns for good measure…

I’m expecting these will eventually be unlocked and accessible on the game itself. It’d be nice to see if ShTH actually has physics.

Why didn’t they use these stages for the multiplayer, instead of cutting and pasting single player levels.

      Lack of adequate physics.

      Kinda…
