Sonic/SEGA News

  • Over the weekend, Yuji Naka and Prope unveiled their latest project, Rodea the Sky Soldier.  It’s like NiGHTS for a new generation, a generation obsessed with anime and J-Pop.  Aside from how much I dislike that shit, if the game is awesome (and it looks awesome), I’ll play it. [CVG]

Monday Video

The headlining item for today!  Watching somebody freak out about Sonic 4’s physics is way more entertaining in French. You don’t have to know the language to understand what he’s saying, as it is stuff that has been said time and time again. Skip to the 4:40 mark when he starts playing the game and wait until he jumps for the first time.  Then, le merde frappe le ventilateur.

    Urgh.
That video was tedious. I can’t believe people are still ignorant of the homing attack.

And what is it with the Japanese and their obsession with everything being set on flying islands?

I’ll agree. Constant going back and forth to talk. I’d rather have watched him stand in place. And just…ugh. He goes through the level SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOO SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY.

Then again, maybe I’m just ranting on a different subject entirely.

If SonicRetro wants to show off by using French language, TRY TO USE IT WELL. That’s not “La Physique Sont Terribles” but “La Physique Est Epouvantable”… Which means “Physics are terrible”.

      Sacre Bleu!!!!

Actually, that would mean “The physic is unbearable”. The problem is, “La Physique” is single, but “sont terribles” is plural. They could either say, “La physique est terrible”, if referring to one particularly annoying physic, or “Les physiques sont terribles”, if referring to two or more annoying physics, like they often do. Other than that, pretty cool update! Excusez mon “nitpicking”, s’il vous plait!

Yeah Retro, your French is terrible. But actually, making it so cliché made me laugh hard. “Le merde frappe le ventilateur” is the greatest non-sense sentence I’ve ever seen. This made my day.
