Spaz\'s cover of Sonic Archives #8Patrick “Spaz” Spaziante is best-known in the Sonic community as a penciler and cover artist for the Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic X Archie comics, and has become one of the favorite artists for the series in the process. Lately, though, Spaz has been branching out with his work, helping out in television shows such as Avatar: The Last Airbender and TMNT . In an interview conducted by IGN Comics, the editors of Marvel’s 2008 “What If?” series revival, Justin Gabrie, Nate Cosby, and Mark Paniccia, revealed that Spaz is slated to do the art for “What If the Runaways became the Young Avengers?”

This won’t be the first time Spaz has worked with Marvel, having drawn for Muties Issue #2. “If you dig his funny animal stuff, wait till you see his take on the super hero genre,” states Gabrie.
